What is Making Tax Digital?
Making Tax Digital (MTD) is a UK government initiative with the aim of making tax administration more effective, efficient and easier for taxpayers.
It requires that any VAT-registered business with a taxable turnover above the threshold (£85,000) will need to keep tax records digitally and use software to submit their VAT returns for VAT periods starting from or after April 2019.
The problem is that not all software providers are providing solutions to their customers to be compliant with this legislation
Oracle’s E-Business Suite Tax Module is one such example. Oracle have essentially told its customers to ‘sort themselves out’, citing that their module can be configured and scaled to requirements, or that customers can work with third-party bridging software/APIs to become compliant.
All this comes at extra cost and risk for the end-user. Not something you would expect given the amount many are paying for Oracle Support.
Support Revolution’s HMRC Recognised solution for its customers
As part of our regular work, Support Revolution scoped and developed a solution for its customers (that is recognised by HMRC) to ensure they remained compliant with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital initiative.
This was done at no extra charge, and is just one of many examples of the additional value-added services we provide our customers on a daily basis.
