Our take on the latest Gartner Market Guide is that it explains how to do that through utilising third-party support and maintenance providers (like Support Revolution) to cut your annual support bill in half, in-year.
Support Revolution is a flexible alternative to Oracle/SAP Support at a much lower cost. Gartner notes that:
“To drive short and long-term cost reduction from software maintenance budgets for direct operating expenditure (OpEx) savings, TPSM providers can offer flexible and customised maintenance contracts with substantially lower-cost solutions.”
Gartner also mentions that:
“Sourcing, procurement, and vendor management (SPVM) leaders who neglect to assess all opportunities for cost optimisation related to third-party software support subject their organisations to missed savings and budget reduction opportunities.”
